Creating an Ingredient List for Products, Printing Ingredient Information to Kitchen. If an ingredient is sold out, it can be quickly marked on POS.

Creating an Ingredient List

Create categories for ingredients and specific ingredients, and set packaging formats and specifications for each ingredient to facilitate measurement and management.

Log in to the POS backend and go to Items > Ingredients > Ingredient List.

Creating Ingredient Categories

1. Click the rectangular icon on the right side of the page.

2. In the pop-up window, click New.

3. Enter the name of the ingredient category in the Category field.

4. Click Save.

After syncing on the POS, the new category will take effect.

Creating Ingredients

Click New on the right side of the page to add an ingredient.

Enter the name of the ingredient and select the category. If no suitable category exists, you can type the category name and press Enter to automatically create a new category.

Set the packaging specifications for the ingredient:

  • Stock Unit: For inventory counting and management.

  • Base Unit: For counting the actual standard quantity of the ingredient. If you check Pcs, you can customize the unit name, which will be printed on the ingredient list.

  • Unit Conversion: The conversion rule between the stock unit and the base unit. For example, rice inventory is measured in Kg, and actual production uses g. So, 1 Stock Unit (Kg) = 1000 Base Unit (g).

For more precise ingredient measurement, you can turn on the Use Vessels switch.

Scroll down to the Vessels section and set the vessel name and corresponding ingredient quantity. For example, if the inventory is measured in 1Kg of rice, the actual ingredient can be used in small portions of 100g, medium portions of 250g, and large portions of 500g.

5. Click Save. After syncing on the POS, the new ingredient will take effect.

Adding Ingredients to Products

Add the required ingredients to the product and set the specifications for each ingredient.

  1. Log in to the POS backend and go to Items > Items > Goods.

  2. Click Filter to search for the product by name, code, or SKU.

  3. In the product list, click the icon in the Ingredients column.

  1. Click Add and select the ingredient category, then click Select to set the specifications (quantity, base unit, or vessel ) for each ingredient.

  1. Click Save.

After syncing on the POS, the changes will take effect.

Printing Ingredient List to Kitchen

Configure the printer on the POS so that when printing kitchen orders, the product's ingredient list is displayed to facilitate meal preparation in the kitchen.

  1. Click the gear icon at the bottom of the left navigation bar to enter the settings page.

  2. Click Printer Setting.

  1. Select the kitchen printer and enable Printer Ingredients in the Print Contents section.

  1. Click Confirm.

When the product is sent to kitchen, the kitchen printer will print out the product's ingredient list as shown below:

Marking Ingredients as Sold Out

When an ingredient is sold out, you can quickly mark its status on POS:

  1. Go to the Items page, click Ingredients, and click on the ingredient that has sold out in the list on the right.

  1. In the pop-up window, check Sold Out. Then click SAVE.

Once an ingredient is marked as sold out, all products using that ingredient will be marked as sold out and will no longer be available for ordering.
